As much as I hate the Yankees, I am in awe of the energy created by the fans at Yankee Stadium. If your an opposing team, it must feel like there are 50,000 subway goons ready to pounce on you at the first sign of weakness.

Rizzuto hit .273 in his 13 year career with 38 homers and 563 RBIs, he also stole a 149 bases. Derek Jeter is in his 12th year and has a lifetime batting average of .315, 174 homers, 799 RBIs and 224 stolen bases. And he's only 32. It's not even close, and getting more ridiculous with each at bat.

The only way you can judge a player is how he dominated his position in his era. The game has changed to bigger, faster, stronger. The players, coaches, managers didn't believe in weight training, so only a lot of homers were hit by your superstars. The shortstop positon was a fielding position in Rizzuto's era. Reese only hit 260, but he is in the hall of fame. They led their teams to many world series, and that means a lot.
